I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend after a week filled with fun and fitness by all for Fitness Week. It was so wonderful to see so much school spirit, variety of colors, dancing, exercising, and sports. With this, I truly want to thank Jasmine Dowlatshahi, POWW President Jill Basowski, and the many POWW parents who spent many hours, days, and time organizing and facilitating this successful week. It was so fun to end it with a family ride as it was truly a week of success and community gathering.
This Week:
Honor's Awards Assembly: This Monday morning we have our monthly Honor's Assembly. If your child is receiving an award, your child's teacher would have notified you regarding the specific time. I can't wait to congratulate our students.
Ice Cream Party: On Tuesday following lunch, all students whose family provided input on the Annual School Experience Survey and submitted verification will be rewarded with an ice cream party and extra playtime. I truly thank everyone who took their time to provide their input this year.
No School: There will be no school this Wednesday, April 24th in observance of Armenian Genocide. School will resume on Thursday with regular 2:30 pm dismissal.
Shelter in Place Drill: On Thursday morning, all students and staff will be participating in our Spring Shelter in Place drill. This drill is to prepare our students and staff in the case of unsafe air quality surrounding our school. Once again this is a perfect time to review emergency drill procedures at home and remind your child of the importance of following emergencies drill procedures at school.
April LSLC/Governance Meeting: On Thursday at 3:00 pm, we will have our final LSLC/Governance meeting via zoom as we discuss our 2024 LCAP and planning for the 2024 -25 school year. All are welcome to attend using the zoom link below and review the attached agenda.
