Good evening Welby Way families,
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend as we only have 16 days remaining of the school year. We have accomplished so many wonderful things this year. I so appreciate everyone who ensured their child was in school each day and on time for testing. We only have a few make ups remaining and we will then be completely finished with this year's testing. With this, I hope you all continue to remember the importance of having your child in school and on time each day for the remainder of the school year. Thank you
This Week:
Monthly Fire Drill: On Monday in the afternoon we will have our May fire drill as we continue to practice our emergency procedures to remain safe.
After School Spanish Enrichment: I am happy to share that we were able to continue our after school Spanish Enrichment class for another 3 weeks. We are also at the last minute able to invite a few more students to join for the last 3 weeks. If you are interested in having your child participate in the after school Spanish Enrichment class please register using the link below. Space is limited and this will be on a first come first serve basis.
Environmental Defenders Assembly: On Thursday morning, our students will participate in a school wide assembly where they will learn about the importance of preserving the environment with the Environmental Defenders. Thank you to Mrs. Katzman for helping bring this learning opportunity to Welby.
Odyssey of the Mind: I want to wish our Odyssey of the Mind team, families, Ms. Awad, and Ms. Lundy the best of luck this week as they head to Iowa State University for their World's competition. I know their bravery, hard work, and team work will persevere above all.
Spelling Bee: I also want to wish our Spelling Bee students the best of luck on Thursday at Pomelo Charter at 6:30 pm where they will compete against our surroundings schools and become the Spelling Champions. I know they are going to do an amazing job!
