Good evening Welby Way families,
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. This Monday we will have our first Honor's Awards assembly as we acknowledge our students with academic successful and respectfulness. We will also have a special student presentation about Hispanic Heritage Month and keeping our campus clean. If your child is receiving an award, you will receive an email or notification from your child's teacher and all participating family members will enter through the front gate that morning.
After School Enrichment - This week on Wednesday and Thursday will start our 5th VEX after school enrichment class in the computer lab and Orchestra begins on Friday. Parents of students enrolled will be receiving a confirmation email to confirm enrollment. All other enrichments will continue as regularly scheduled- Parker Anderson, ToroSports, CATS, and martial arts.
POWW Events
Sharky's POWW Restaurant Night: This Thursday, Sept. 26th from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm POWW is hosting Sharky's Restaurant Night at the Sharky's in Woodland Hills on Topanga Canyon. See some of your Welby Way teachers and Mrs. DaCorsi smash guacamole from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, enjoy Fin-tastic food & help raise $$ for our school. Order online at SHARKYS.COM or in-store & 20% Net Sales + $1 from every Chips & Guacamole starter will benefit Welby Way. Please see the attached flier for more details.
Movie Night: Be sure to join everyone this Friday the 27th for our rescheduled POWW Movie Night with Trolls. This is going to be a fun family evening under the stars with fun, food, and positive memories. Be sure to visit the POWW website at https://parentsofwelbyway.com/ to purchase your tickets in advance All children must be accompanied with an adult. This is not a drop off event and the event will begin at 6:00 pm with the movie starting closer to 7:00 pm. Please see the attached flier for more information.
Future Dates: Please mark your calendar as there will be no school on Wednesday, Oct. 3rd as an unassigned day and in observance of Rosh Hashanah. School will resume for the remainder of the week.
