THANK YOU: I truly want to thank the many parents who came together to organize, set up, break down, and run our successful Scholastic Book Fair. It was such a successful event with so many families shopping together for great holiday gifts and books. This event is 100% parent run and could not happen with their time and dedication. They are greatly appreciated for all they did for this event and for going above and beyond for our school. THANK YOU!!!
Lost and Found: We still have tons of jackets, water bottles, and lunch boxes that need to be picked up this week to avoid being donated. We will have all lost and found items in the front of the school for everyone to retrieve. Thank you for your assistance with this as all items left after Friday will be bagged up and donated.
December POWW Meeting: On Tuesday come join our December POWW meeting at 8:05 am in room 40. All are welcome and please check in in the main office.
Winter Sing Performance: On Wednesday, we will have our annual Winter Sing performance for all 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade classes in the auditorium at 8:30 am and 1:15 pm. Families will enter through the back of the auditorium. The order of grades and songs will be sent to everyone on Tuesday to assist with families needing to leave early. All other grades will be performing in our Spring Sing in May.
Classroom Performances: This week a few of our classes are having classroom performances for the holidays in the classroom. This is not the Winter Sing. Please be sure to check in at the main office for your visitor's pass and please know these are adult only events and non-LAUSD students or siblings are not permitted to attend. I thank you in advance for your understanding with this.
5th Grade VEX Competition: On Thursday our after school Computerwise VEX 5th grade students will be competing against themselves in the auditorium at 3:00 pm. I wish them all the best of luck as they demonstrate their learned skills to compete again each other. All are welcome to watch.
School Spirit Day: This Friday will be Silly/Ugly Holiday Sweater Day. All students are encouraged to wear school appropriate holiday sweaters and gear to school. The classes with the most spirit will be announced at the end of the day.
No School: Winter Break will be Monday, Dec. 16th - Friday, Jan. 3rd with the last day of school being Friday, Dec. 13th with regular dismissal. We return to school on Monday, Jan. 6th for our spring semester.
