Good evening Welby Way families,
I want to wish all our Mothers a very Happy Mother's Day! I hope you are being treated as a queen and appreciated for all that you do and bring to your family each day. Thank you for all of your contributions to our school family and the support of your child always I also want to thank POWW and all of the parents who showered our staff, teachers, and office with beautiful flowers, delicious treats, lunch, and so much more this week for Teacher/Staff Appreciation. The generosity and thoughtfulness truly made the week extra special and is greatly appreciated.
This week:
SBA Testing: Our SBA testing continues this week. On Monday 5th grade starts their math testing and 3rd and 4th continue on Tuesday - Thursday along with Mrs. Fishman's class. I truly appreciate all the families who worked to ensure their child was in school every day and on time so your child can do their best of the test and with their classroom teacher.
May LSLC/Governance Meeting: On Monday at 3:00 pm we will have our final LSLC/Governance Meeting via zoom to review to finalize the minimum/shorten day schedule for the 2025 -26 school year and reflect on the school year. All are welcome to participate and the zoom link is below along with the agenda attached.
Making Movies that Matter Red Carpet Event: On Thursday I want to wish our Making Movies that Matter group during the direction of Ms. Hoehn the best of luck at the Red Carpet event at CSUN. I hope Welby Way takes home the award.
The countdown is ON — just 20 school days left until summer break, last day of school is June 10 with 5th grade culmination on Monday, June 9th and Kindergarten Bridging event on June 10th. Let’s finish strong and make every day count. 🌟. Let’s keep the energy high and ATTEND ‘TIL THE END!
