Weekly News #24 (Feb. 16-20, 2026)

Good evening Welby Way families,

I hope you are all enjoying a relaxing three-day weekend as we honor Presidents Day with a well-deserved day off tomorrow. School will resume on Tuesday with our regular 1:30 p.m. dismissal.

Please note, there will be no Monday Morning Assembly this week. Assemblies will resume the following Monday with Ms. Cole’s class presenting on the Lunar New Year — I hope you’re able to join us!

🏆 Congratulations to Our Spelling Bee Winner!

Congratulations to Aarav Tripathy, our Welby Way Spelling Bee champion and the 1st Place Winner at the Region North Spelling Bee on Friday against 32 other contestants from across the valley! I also want to commend all our contestants for their hard work, preparation, and determination during this week’s Welby Way.  I wish Aarav the best of luck as he moves onto the Los Angeles County Spelling Bee.
