Weekly News #32 (April 20 - 24, 2026)

Good evening Welby Way families,

I hope you are all having a safe and enjoyable weekend. We look forward to our Monday morning assembly tomorrow, where a group of students will be presenting for Earth Day, discussing the 3 Rs of recycling and the impact of population. All are welcome to join—I hope to see you there!

Earth Day
Help Welby Way and POWW celebrate Earth Day by recycling your old writing tools and empty squeeze pouches beginning Wednesday, April 22, through the end of the month. Recycling bins will be located by the front office/front gate for collection.

Let’s keep our planet clean, teach our children eco-friendly habits, and take another step toward a better future. ♻️🌳♥️

(See attached PDF for more information.)

5th Grade Panoramic Photo
On Monday, all 5th grade students will have their panoramic photo taken in the morning in front of the school.

Open House
Please join us for Open House on Thursday, April 23, from 5:30–6:30 PM. Welby Way Cheer will perform in front of the school at 5:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit your child’s classroom and see all of their incredible learning.

Thursday will be a minimum day with dismissal at 12:50 PM.

No School
There will be no school on Friday, April 24, in observance of Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. School will resume on Monday.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found is overflowing! Items will be placed in front of the school throughout the week and during Open House. Please stop by to retrieve your child’s belongings.

Any remaining items after Friday will be donated.
