Welcome from Mrs. Aitchison!

We are blooming in Room 8! 
 
Here are some parent reminders:
 
  • Make sure your child brings in their homework folders every day. Even though homework is not due until Friday, the folders are also used to send home information. 
  • Our P.E. days are Mondays and Wednesdays. Make sure your child is wearing appropriate shoes on those days.
  • Tuesday is our library day. Students are expected to bring their library books to return every Tuesday. 
  • ZEARN is an optional activity that can be done at home on a device. They can access it through our Schoology page using their QR code. Students should NOT go past the lessons listed at the top of the homework sheet each week.

About the Teacher:
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and graduated from ECR. I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies and my teaching credential from CSUN and I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2013. All of my teaching experience is in the primary grades, which is where I love to be! I feel extremely fortunate to have a job that I still enjoy going to every day.
 
I live in Oak Park with my wonderful husband, Bill and our Golden Retriever Darla. We have two sons, Cory and Sean and one daughter-in-law, Chelsea. Cory is a librarian at The Huntington and Sean is a freelance writer/producer. 
 
When I'm not teaching I enjoy going to the beach and the movies. I also love reading, hiking and playing pickleball.
